I am the senior partner and founder of this practice, which was started in 1984. I have a special interest in back and neck conditions and rehabilitation. I completed OMT 1 and various national and international courses and workshops. Ever since the founding of this practice, I have been dedicated to improve both patients’ and colleagues’ lives by noticing particular needs and potential and to help them reach their goals.
I take pleasure in outdoor activities such as hiking, running and camping and am a keen traveller.

I have an unwavering commitment to the physiotherapy profession, spanning 23 years. I’ve pursued this field passionately, considering it not just a profession but a true calling. I joined Van der Merwe Physiotherapists in 2002 and became partner in 2011. My holistic approach extends to treating a variety of physiotherapy conditions. I’ve obtained my CPT qualification in 2011, but my heart lies in the field of Gender Health. I am currently immersed in ongoing studies in this area, striving to contribute to the well-being and empowerment of individuals across the gender spectrum. Beyond the practice, I find serenity in the outdoors enjoying walks along the beach and hiking in the mountains.

I am a passionate physiotherapist with two decades of experience. I have been with the practice since 2007 and became a partner in 2019. I have a special interest in neuromuscular spinal conditions, headaches, and vestibular rehabilitation. Over the years, I've honed my expertise, dedicating myself to improving the lives of individuals grappling with these challenging conditions. My enthusiasm extends to the challenging field of ICU patients, where I find fulfilment in aiding their recovery. As a practitioner, I strive to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers my patients on their path to recovery. With every treatment session, I aim to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance the overall quality of life for those under my care. I remain deeply driven by the transformative power of physiotherapy.I can get lost between the pages of a good book and love exploring new destinations through travel.

I am a senior physiotherapist who qualified at UWC in 2007 and joined the practice in 2009. I also obtained the CPT 1 certification in 2011. I enjoy orthopaedic conditions, working with both ICU and hospital patients, and have a particular passion for respiratory paediatrics. As a mother of two young children, I excel in providing care to paediatric patients. Moreover, I have a keen interest in helping new mothers navigate breastfeeding-related conditions.

Bsc Physiotherapy Class of 2018 graduate; I am passionate about healing, one patient at a time, focussing on hospital and outpatient care. I enjoy dry needling, paediatrics and building relationships with patients. I am a certified Pilates instructor, helping to guide patients to strength and recovery.

I have been a hospital based physiotherapist for 14 years and enjoy the variety of treating different conditions on a daily basis I find joy in treating patients in the acute hospital setting. I also have a passion and special interest in chronic pain, which led me to complete an MSc in pain and a Certificate in pain management. These learning opportunities have provided me with the necessary skills and expertise to treat complex and persistent pain conditions. I believe each patient is so much more than just their physical condition and strive to help each one in their suffering, through a multimodal treatment approach.

I'm a dedicated physiotherapist, qualified in 2017, with a profound passion for in-hospital physiotherapy, respiratory rehabilitation in ICU, acute neuromuscular injuries, with a special interest in TMJ disorder. My heart lies with older patients and paediatrics, where I strive to enhance their well-being through personalized care. I am passionate about being active, no matter your age! With a commitment to healthcare, I aim to make a positive impact, one patient at a time, while savouring the simple joys of sports and nature along the way. After hours, you'll find me on the squash court, reading or embracing the tranquillity of the outdoors.

I am a mom to a delightful little girl who keeps me on my toes. I am a UWC graduate from 2007 and have worked in a number of hospitals both here in SA as well as overseas. I am passionate about in hospital physiotherapy and especially respiratory patients. I love living close to the beach and going camping with my family.

I'm a dedicated and empathic physiotherapist whose heart lies in the realm of hospital work, with a special focus on supporting cancer patients and their entire families. My approach is defined by attention to detail, ensuring that every patient's unique needs are met with precision and compassion. I believe in alleviating physical discomfort, improving mobility and functioning, as well as assisting individuals to regain quality of their lives, even in the face of illness.
When at home, I love to spend time in the outdoors, hiking and walking my beloved dogs. I am passionate about relationships and enjoy the company of family and friends.

I graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2015 and completed my community service in Kimberley. My interests include neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics and all areas of paediatrics. I enjoy doing research on different diagnosis and treatments, and won't shy away from a challenge! I love spending time with my family and friends, baking and a good cup of tea!

Lana is our Administration Manager, who joined the Practice in 2017. She is responsible for a broad range of services that allow the Practice to operate efficiently.
This includes accounts, debtors & creditors and liaising with medical aids.
She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and being outdoors, walking the dogs.

I am the practice manager and have served the practice since 2000. It is my responsibility to see that appointments are made and that patients feel welcome when they arrive. I also see to the billing and liaise with customers and suppliers. I take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere where our patients can feel safe and comfortable. When not at work, I enjoy camping and spending time with family and friends.

I help out part time with the administration duties and love the environment. I trained as a physiotherapist , but decided to focus full time on my family after the arrival of my 2 children. I love to read and am always keen on a nice cuppacino.
